About a week ago a new film about Spider-Man appeared on big screens. The main role in this tape was played by 21-year-old British actor Tom Holland, who could be seen in the tapes "In the Heart of the Sea" and "The War of the Currents." In his interview to HELLO! Tom decided to talk about how he learned about getting this long-awaited role and actively preparing for it.

The main role in the film "Spider-Man: Returning Home" was tried about a thousand and a half actors. Among them was Tom, but he could not imagine that he could bypass all rivals. Of course, Holland was waiting for a call from the Marvel film studio, which specializes in the production of these films, but he learned about his appointment differently. This is how Tom recalls that day:
"After I visited the samples, I did not find a place for myself. And then I came up with the idea: since they do not call me, maybe something interesting is written on their website. I went to the website of Marvel and was stunned by what I saw. It was written there that I was approved for the role of Spider-Man. I had to re-read this post several times, but the meaning of the news did not change from this. Then I thought it was someone's foolish rally and raised the whole house to my ears, but my family had nothing to do with it. Then I myself called Marvel and it turned out that I was really approved, but I did not have time to inform about it on the phone. "

Holland's preparation for the role
After Tom was confirmed for the role of Spider-Man, he had to prepare seriously for this crucial role. Here's how the British actor recalls that period of his life:

However, not only physically Tom prepared for the role, but also morally. As it turned out, Holland had to reincarnate as a 15-year-old American student, but Tom has no idea how modern teenagers behave. In order to eliminate this gap, the director decided to introduce Holland into a modern American school. Tom talks about this:
"I was at school for 3 days, but this does not mean that they were given to me very easily. In the American education system there is a significant difference from the British. I studied in London and wore a uniform, but here every day I had to think what to wear to look presentable. Besides this, only botanists did homework in my time, but now, it turns out, to study is prestigious and fashionable. Once I witnessed a conversation between students who praised each other for some achievements in their studies. They said these words: "This is your future. Excellent study is a sure sign that in the future you will achieve great success. " It was after this that some adjustments were made to the script.
