Tretyakov Gallery - paintings

The State Tretyakov Gallery appeared on the map of Moscow in the second half of the 19th century. Its founder, merchant Pavel Tretyakov devoted many years of collecting various art objects, accumulated an excellent collection and in 1892 transferred it to the possession of the city. Since then, the museum's storehouses have been greatly enriched, and the collection has grown many times. Today it is difficult to say how many paintings in the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow .
