Yin-Yang tree of beads

We suggest that you learn a master class on how to weave a tree from Yin-Yang beads. The very concept of "Yin-Yan" implies a certain ambiguity: it came from ancient China, whose wise men believed that each phenomenon has two opposite sides. Our craft is a two-color, black and white tree in the style of Yin-Yan, made in the technique of weaving with beads.

For work we need the following materials:

The scheme of weaving Yin-Yan wood from beads:

  1. Our tree will consist of small twigs, united in larger branches. Therefore, to begin with, we begin to produce a large number of black and white twigs. On bead wire, a little deviating from the edge, string 8 beads and twist into a leaf.
  2. We make an odd number of such leaves with a distance of 1-2 cm of twisted wire between them.
  3. Starting with the central leaf, we form a twig.
  4. After all the leaves are connected, twist the wire down to a length of 3 cm. For a lush crown you need to make 70 such twigs of white color and about 100 pieces of black.
  5. It was the turn to unite the small twigs into one large branch. Here it is better to use a wireframe made of thick wire, tightly tying twigs to it with threads of the appropriate color. One small branch goes 5 small ones.
  6. When the branches are ready, we proceed to fabricate the frame. To do this, we first bend the thick copper wire with a semicircle.
  7. Then we form the first loop.
  8. We twist the wire at the base, and the other end of it is bent into a second, bigger loop. As a result, we need to get a frame for a tree, slightly resembling a heart shape.
  9. If the wire is not rigid enough, then to strengthen the trunk of the tree you can use improvised materials, for example, wooden slats. The branches of the Yin-Yang tree are fastened according to the beadwork scheme described above (using threads).
  10. The base of the tree is made of gypsum, filling it in a suitable shape. While the gypsum is not frozen, make a hole in order to insert a wire with big beads strung on it - "grass", complementing the style of Yin-Yan.
  11. The trunk itself is also processed from above with gypsum to give it the outline of a tree. Then use a sharp knife to give the relief "bark" of the tree.
  12. Paint the trunk black, passing almost dry brush on its protruding parts. Decorate the base with large beads of black and white. Also on the perimeter can be glued a small beads.

Beading is an exciting activity, and Yin-Yang trees can be a good gift to your loved one. Also you can make other trees from beads: rowan , birch or sakura .
