History of Education
The modern Auckland Airport started with a small take-off field, which was rented by the New Zealand Aeroclub with just three moths - the two-seat biplane aircraft de Havilland DH.60 Moth. The date of birth of the airport is 1928.

1977 was marked by the appearance of a new passenger terminal building for international flights. He was named in honor of D. Batten, a pilot, who set 2 world records for flights from New Zealand to the UK and back.
Modern Airport
The Auckland international air harbor is very convenient, just 21 km from the city (45 minutes by car). You can get here from the city in just 20 minutes. From public transport, there are express buses, shuttles (minibuses) and taxis.
