Buskopan by nature is designed to remove spasms, relax the muscular muscles of the digestive tract, genitourinary system. During pregnancy, the drug should be used with great caution. In the first trimester, it is not prescribed, but at other times - only if the benefit from it exceeds the potential danger to the mother and child.
Buskopan before birth is prescribed somewhat more often than during pregnancy. Its purpose is performed after examination of the cervix before delivery. If the condition of the cervix does not correspond to the period of labor (cramps begin, and the cervix is not yet ready), the doctor prescribes the introduction of candles of the buskupan before delivery.
