The bark of the tree has an ash-gray hue and is scaly. The very berries are dark red, with gray dots. They contain small bones, and in size can be either small or large, since there are a lot of varieties within the range of "Vladimirskaya". Ripen berries in late July.

Use this variety of cherries for freezing, drying, as well as making jam and jam. And, of course, the fresh berries of Vladimirskaya are very appetizing ─ they have a pleasant sweet and sour taste due to the sugar content.

By the way, the name of the variety came from the Vladimir province, from where in the XIX century and this culture spread. Today the "Vladimirskaya" cherry is even considered one of the symbols of this region.

Cherry "Vladimirskaya" ─ planting and care

If you decide to plant a cherry tree of this variety on your site, first of all you should prepare seedlings. Ideally, they should be annual and vaccinated, with a well-defined root system. The top part of each seedling should be cut to a height of 70-80 cm. The planting of the cherry should be planned in such a way that its crown, which usually grows well, does not block sunlight to other plants on the site.

Root the seedlings best in fertile and fresh soils rich in minerals. In addition, later on you will need to make timely fertilizer for the best growth of the tree. Fructify "Vladimirskaya" begins for 2-3 years in case the tree was grown from a grafted seedling.

For the winter, each plant is sheltered from rodents, wrapping the lower branches and trunk with dense material.
