Built-in closet in the corridor with your own hands

We will make a two-door wardrobe for the corridor with our own hands in a small niche prepared for this purpose with a depth of 540 mm.

To do this, you first need to design shelves, calculate the size of the cabinet, order ready-made glass doors, purchase chipboard, screws, silicone, glue liquid nails, cashier, railing for the hanger and fasteners for it.

  1. At first, the perimeter of the cabinet is assembled using self-tapping screws.
  2. The cabinet consists of two narrow drawers. The middle racks are smaller in width than the outer racks for the width of the upper rails for the subsequent installation of the door. The shelves are screwed to the jumpers on 3 screws on each side.
  3. The back plywood wall is beaten to the first box, plastic feet are fastened to the bottom.
  4. For special oval fasteners, self-tapping screws are attached to the steel rail for clothing.
  5. The left closet for the niche is ready.
  6. The right part of the cabinet is assembled, at the top there is an opening for wires that will be hidden inside.
  7. The right side of the cabinet is ready, the boxes are fastened together and fixed to the wall in four places for rigidity, the cracks are filled with foam.
  8. The surfaces of the door rails are degreased. The straps are installed - the upper one for liquid nails and screws, the bottom one is glued to silicone and liquid nails. Install stoppers on the lower guide before installing.
  9. Cuts for nails for liquid nails.
  10. A velvet strip is glued on the door and you can install them. After installing the doors, the cabinet is ready.
