Treatment of discus

One of the most common diseases is hexamytosis in discus. Its reason lies in the wrong content. The treatment is quite simple: transplant the diseased fish into a separate aquarium, raise the water temperature to 32 ° C, add Metronidazol to the water in accordance with the recommendations of the veterinarian or according to the instructions. There is an antiquated, but effective way to treat discus from wounds and scratches, pain. It is in the addition of ordinary salt in the water, which also calms the fish, relieves stress. Such prophylaxis can be carried out for 3-5 days, then gradually begin substitution of water and reduce its temperature. Treatment of discus salt should not be started if you are not sure of the diagnosis.
Be careful when buying fish. Many breeders use additives and injections to improve the color of the disc, which is very detrimental to its subsequent health. It is better to choose less bright individuals and purchase them from trusted sellers.
