Duhring's dermatitis ( Duhring's herpetiform dermatosis) is a poorly understood skin disease. The disease affects people of any age, but the peak incidence rate falls on 30-40 years, with men suffering from dermatosis Dühring more often than women.
Symptoms of Dühring's dermatitis
A characteristic symptom of Dühring's disease is a ring rash on the background of swollen and reddened skin, consisting of vesicles and blisters. Sometimes rashes occur on non-inflamed parts of the epidermis. Vesicles with a dense cover are initially filled with a transparent liquid, which subsequently becomes turbid, ulcers with manifestations are formed. Gradually, the surface of the jaundice forms crusts, under which the healing process slowly occurs. The disease is accompanied by a burning sensation and severe itching. In this case, the patient combs the inflamed areas, because of which the visual picture of the disease can be smeared.
Typical locations of rashes with Dühring dermatitis:
- elbows;
- forearm zone;
- face and neck;
- the back of the head;
- knees;
- buttocks and sacrum.
Treatment of Dühring's dermatitis
The mechanism of the development of Dühring's disease is not completely clear to-day, and therefore the therapy of the disease is not always effective. Duhring's dermatitis occurs in the form of prolonged exacerbations, followed by short periods of remission. However, in some cases, self-sufficient complete disappearance of signs of the disease.
Treatment of dermatitis is complex. In this set of therapeutic measures include:
- Medication with sulfones, corticosteroids, antihistamines .
- The use of ointments, gels and creams to reduce inflammation in the epidermis.
- The intake of vitamins (ascorbic acid, B vitamins, rutozide).
- Warm baths and local compresses based on medicinal herbs ( celandine , string, chamomile, oak).
Herpetiform dermatosis is an autoimmune disease. Also, the disease occurs as a result of increased sensitivity of the body to gluten contained in flour, so a prerequisite for treatment is to follow a diet with the exception of some cereals:
- wheat;
- rye;
- barley;
- millet;
- oats.
In addition, sometimes with Dühring's dermatitis it is recommended to exclude iodine products from the ration, including:
- Red caviar;
- sea kale;
- liver of sea fish;
- persimmon:
- buckwheat.
