One of the most large-scale, well-known and most visited Russian rock music festivals to date is the Invasion festival. For more than ten years, it has been held annually in different parts of the vast Russia . History of the festival Invasion
The impetus for the first festival was the birthday of the radio station "Our Radio". This was held in 1999 in the Gorbunov Palace of Culture in Moscow on 10-11 December. At that time it was a concert called Invasion, in which several of the most popular teams at that time took part, winning the popularity and love of listeners for the year of existence of the radio station known today. A year later, the management decided to conduct a concert Invasion in the summer of August 19-20 in the open air.
In 2001, the place for a grand event was chosen by the hippodrome of the Moscow region Ramensky. The concert lasted 2 days on August 4-5. It was attended by 40 groups, among which were some of the most popular representatives of Russian rock and debutants.
In 2002, the Invasion Festival set its first record. For 3 days, the event was attended by 180 thousand fans of music. Until 2005, all festivals were held on "hurray", gathering huge crowds of people. But, unfortunately, the team that organized the rock festival Nashestvie, broke up. And in 2005 a new project was created, in which great attention was paid to the diversity of styles of musicians and to the improvement of the conditions for the spectators to stay on the campgrounds of tent cities.
A new festival called "Emmaus" was crowned with success. And in a couple of years representatives of "Our Radio" offered to unite the two most grandiose Russian festivals into one and thereby revive the Invasion. After that, all subsequent rock festivals The invasion is held annually in the summer.

Festival Invasion is not just a concert - it's three stable days in the summer, when you can listen to music for days, watch amazing shows, make new friends in the open.
