Fetal formation by week

Pregnancy is an amazing time of constant transformations of a new life. Each week is the next step in the development of the child. Let's consider the basic stages of fetal formation.

Formation of the fetus in 1 trimester

The period of pregnancy is conventionally divided into two periods - embryonic (from conception to 9th week) and fetal (from the 9th week up to the birth of the baby). In the first weeks after fertilization, the embryo develops.

Starting from 4-7 weeks, there are rudiments of the future muscular, bone and nerve tissue. By the end of the fourth week, the heart begins to beat. Gradually, the outlines of the head, arms and legs are drawn.

Formation of the central nervous system in the fetus is completed by the 7th week. Rudiments of the eyes, abdomen and chest are becoming more pronounced. But at the same time, the digestive system and internal genital organs continue to develop.

At the 8th week , the crumbs are already well developed in the main vital internal organs, although their further development is still under way.

By the 9th week the baby can boast of formed internal organs. Miniature face acquires more and more distinct features. The total length of the fetus may be 2.5 cm.

10-12 weeks - there is an active increase in muscle tissue. By this time there are phalanges of fingers with the first marigolds. At 12 weeks, the fetus is forming the brain.

Fetal development in the 2nd trimester

By the beginning of the second trimester, the fetus is a fairly mature organism. 13-16 weeks is a time of rapid development. Movements crumbs become more coordinated. The weight of the baby can reach 1300 g, height - 16-17 cm.

The fetal heart is long formed and can be heard with a stethoscope. Bones gradually acquire firmness. Sexual organs become distinct. At the same time, the body is still covered with lanugo - the original fuzz.

17-20 weeks will be felt by the increased activity of the child. The body becomes more proportional. Kidneys are included in the work. There are rudiments of future infant teeth. Active development of internal organs continues. Fetal weight can range from 340-350 g, and height - 24-25 cm.

The opportunity to hear the sounds of the world around the crumbs appear on week 21-24. And the future mother sometimes can even feel how the baby hiccups. By this time, the child's dream is increasingly interrupted by short periods of wakefulness. That's when he declares himself active jerks and movements.

Development of a baby in the 3rd trimester

The third trimester of pregnancy begins with 25 weeks. Every day the child is persistently preparing for his appearance. In the period of 25-28 weeks, the fruit, on average, weighs about 1 kg, and its length is 35-37 cm. Despite the fact that the lungs are not yet ready for future work, the cortex is already formed. The child can even open and close his eyes.

Distinguish between light and darkness the baby will be able to 29-32 weeks. By this time his ears are getting a complete look.

The most active accumulation of fatty tissue occurs at 33-36 week. The skin becomes smooth, with a pink tinge. The lungs are completely ready for future work. And although the formation of sex in the fetus has already been fully completed, their development continues.

37-40 weeks is the time when almost all the parameters of the fetus correspond to the newborn. Formation of the fetus from the moment of conception comes to its apogee - the birth of a new life. The weight of a child can range from 2,500 to 4,000 kg. Gradually, the lanugo disappears and the original grease appears, which should protect the baby in the first days after birth. The child has a set of reflex movements that will allow him to survive, and in the intestine accumulates the original cal - meconium. The head is lowered into the pelvic area.

Formation of the fetal organs for weeks of pregnancy in each child may have its own characteristics. Be aware of those wonderful changes that occur in the female body. After all, pregnancy is a very exciting and joyful period of life.
