Fibromatosis of the breast

Fibroadenomatosis or fibromatosis is a disease associated with benign tissue changes in the mammary glands. The development of this disease is associated with abnormalities in the hypothalamic-pituitary region of the brain, in the thyroid gland, adrenal glands, and ovaries.

About 60% of women of reproductive and involuntary age suffer from different forms of fibromatosis. Almost 80% of women with fibroadenomatosis disease is a peculiar variant of the norm, that is, changes in the breast are rather insignificant and do not give the woman unpleasant sensations.

Symptoms of fibromatosis of the breast

Fibroadenomatosis, as a rule, has a diffuse border of the pathologically altered breast tissue in healthy tissues. In this case, in the healthy tissue of the breast, multiple inclusions of nodules of different sizes are found.

Fibrooadenomatosis can be of small-nodule and coarse-nodular character. When small-nodular fibromatosis is present in the chest gland, palpation of the glandular tissue with numerous dense nodules is observed when palpating. This form is more often found at a young age. With large-nodular fibromatosis, when the chest is felt along with small nodules, larger ones are also found. This form of the disease is typical for women in mature and old age.

Also, in both forms of the disease, the tendons of the fibrous tissue can be probed.

For fibromatosis of the mammary gland, the cyclicity of the manifestation of symptoms is characteristic. Nodules increase in the premenstrual period, and in the first phase of the cycle become milder with a weakening of painful sensations. Fibroadenomatosis begins imperceptibly for a woman and develops for many years in a jerky manner.

A type of fibromatosis is mammary lipofibromatosis, in which, along with the connective tissue, the fatty tissue of the gland grows.

Treatment of fibromatosis of mammary glands

In the event that fibromatosis is detected in the early period of its development, then in its treatment used medicines, whose action is aimed at restoring the hormonal background in the body.

In addition, vitamin therapy, a special diet, elimination of smoking, drinking strong coffee and tea, a healthy sex life, treatment of inflammatory gynecological diseases can be recommended.
