The main method of combating wasps in a vineyard all over the world is the destruction of their colonies ( nests ).

1. Early in the morning or evening, when the wasps are flying out of the nest and returning to it, we find it.

Inside these traps insert a few sticks, on which the wasps can go down to the syrup. Be sure to add syrup to them in the course of time. In this way, you can completely rid the vineyard of wasps.

Instead of syrup in such traps, you can put pieces of ripe vegetables and sweet fruits (such as melon, watermelon, pear, apple, plum, etc.), pre-treated with insecticide against flying insects.

You can even sprinkle with such syrup (with insecticide) any plants near the vineyard, from which you can then easily get rid of. Due to the presence of sugar in the syrup, it will adhere well to the leaves of the plant and attract the wasps, and those who taste this syrup will die.

Some gardeners at the beginning of the ripening of the grapes completely cover the bushes with a fine mesh net, which simultaneously protects and from birds. Or you can wear bags made, for example, from kapron tights or tulle (but only a few bunches). But with this method it is necessary to take into account that the covers must be sewn sufficiently loose (so that they do not clamp the bunch) and should remove the leaves around the bunches, for better ventilation, in order to reduce the risk of rotting berries.

How to scare off wasps from grapes?

To frighten off the fruit of the grapes, the fact is used that animals and insects try to avoid the place where there is a smell of smoke, so for processing the vineyard from the wasps, you can apply "Liquid smoke", used for smoking meat.
