In every family there are a lot of things that you do not want to throw out, and rarely use them. Therefore, they try to keep them in some rarely visited places: in the pantry, the far corner of the cupboard, the curbstone or on the mezzanine. But in the conditions of small city apartments there is still not enough space for storing such things. Therefore, you can try to build mezzanine under the ceiling in the hallway.
This mezzanine, manufactured independently - is an excellent choice for an economical owner. After all, today it is quite expensive to buy any piece of furniture in an apartment. Let's find out how to make mezzanine with my own hands.
In order to make a small cabinet, located under the ceiling in the corridor - mezzanine - the following tools and materials are needed:
- wooden bars;
- level;
- drill;
- Ceiling metal profile;
- self-tapping screws, dowels;
- gypsum board or chipboard for the bottom of the mezzanine.
- We are determined with the height of the future mezzanine, we mark on the wall the location of its bottom with the help of a level. Cut the bars into the required dimensions and drill holes in them with a step of about 25 cm. Applying the bar to the wall, we mark the places for drilling holes. In the drilled holes we insert dowels. We fix the bars to the wall with screws.
- From the ceiling profile we make jumpers along the width of the mezzanine. The base is made from a sheet of drywall or chipboard, put it on top of the crate from the profile and attach it to the guides.
- Doors for the mezzanine are made of veneered sheet of particle board, MDF or plastic. The doors are cut to the size of the mezzanine, the edges are treated with a large nazhdachkoy. The front part of the doors is decorated with veneer, varnish or paint. Excellent mezzanine, painted in the tone of walls and ceiling.
- The doors are best mounted on so-called piano loops. Initially, they must be attached to the doors, and only then - to the mezzanine fixing point. To ensure that the doors are perfectly aligned, use the building level. It will help to avoid the skewing of the doors. From the outside of the door we attach the handles, and from the inside - the locks, opposite which on the mezzanine attach the magnets. This will close the doors tightly.
