How to make garden furniture from the wood by own hands on an example of a garden bench?

1. To make a garden bench for the whole family, we make blanks from a non-planed board. Most often it is made from coniferous trees such as pine or spruce and is offered to customers as dried lumber.
2. We process the surface of the material. To do this, we need to get rid of roughness and jaggies. If possible, we use an electric plane.
3. We transfer the dimensions of the bench to workpieces. The height of the product together with the back is 87 cm. We cut off the extra wood.
4. Since the legs of our bench will be curly, we make a drawing on one of the blanks.
5. Draw the back of the bench.
6. We cut out the picture with a jig saw.
7. We transfer the contour of the finished part to the next workpiece prepared for the second leg.
8. The details of the front legs are made of a board with a length of 43 cm. It is necessary to circle only the figured part of the back leg and then cut it out.
9. We make grooves for joining workpieces. We cut an unnecessary tree with a hacksaw, and then remove it with a chisel.
10. We put the parts in the grooves. In the places where they join, we make holes. We twist the parts of the bench with screws.
11. We connect the frame with a cross bar.
12. We fasten the frame with the backrest and seat.
13. Homemade furniture made of wood, created with their own hands, to protect them from rain we cover with varnish. If you buy a wide brush for work, the lacquer will lie evenly and the bench will last much longer.
