What is a MDF panel board?
MDF is an abbreviation for English words Medium (density average) Density (fibrous) Fibreboard (coating). The lining from such material meets all modern standards of quality and is made according to the newest technologies.
It is made from wood chips by pressing at a high temperature, at which the ligine is released - a natural sticky substance. Ligin safely glues the shavings, as a result, there is nothing synthetic or unnatural in MDF, the material is completely ecological and safe for health.
Types of MDF boarding
There are several types of MDF panels, depending on the method of finishing their front surface:
- Laminated MDF boarding is the most popular kind. It is obtained by applying to the surface of PVC panels a film that can mimic the texture of a natural tree. Characterized by increased resistance to dust, mechanical stress, has good aesthetic characteristics.
- Veneered board MDF panels are veneered with fine wood, which can be given any shade.
- Painted panels of MDF - painted with special compounds that perfectly resist chemical attack. After treatment, the surface becomes shiny and protected.
Scope of MDF boarding
Finishing MDF lining walls and other surfaces in the house is quite common. Most often, it is used on balconies. But it is quite practical to apply it to the plating of bedrooms and children's rooms.
Moisture-proof lining can be used even in rooms with high humidity - kitchen, hallway and bathroom.
