Atopic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis and other skin diseases are difficult to treat. Cope with such diseases often can only hormonal drugs. Lorinden's ointment also applies to this type of medication, but its effect can be considered relatively safe, and the effect is recognized by doctors as one of the best in this field.
Features of the Lorinden C Ointment
Traditional hormonal ointment Lorinden contains flumethasone. It is a glucocorticosteroid, a synthetic analogue of adrenal hormones. In the body flumethasone interacts with phospholipase and causes inhibition of the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Due to this, the following effect occurs:
- Vessels narrow down, due to which the zone of inflammation decreases.
- Bend macrophages and bacteria.
- The speed of the processes of granulation and infiltration decreases, which also gives an antibacterial and antifungal effect.
- Regeneration processes in the skin are started.
The drug Lorinden C contains an additional component - clioquinol. This antifungal agent, which significantly expands the scope of the ointment. Lorinden C is effective in such diseases:
- dermatitis of any etiology;
- eczema;
- erythema and erythroderma;
- psoriasis;
- pruritis, urticaria, and infections caused by insect bites.
Lorinden C should be applied a thin layer on the affected area of the skin 2-3 times a day. After 15 minutes, the itching and discomfort should stop. It is not recommended to use ointment for treatment of children under 5 years old and pregnant. The maximum daily dose for adults is 2 g of the drug.
Analogues of Lorinden C Ointment
There is a fairly close analogue of the drug, Lorinden A. ointment. The medicine additionally contains acetylsalicylic acid, which enhances the disinfecting effect and reduces the area of inflammation. Many people confuse the name of this drug, calling Lorinden D. ointment. This is due to the similarity of packaging, but pharmacists in the pharmacy have long learned to recognize the error.
There are no other analogs in the composition of Lorinden, but according to the curative effect, such drugs correspond to the drug:
- Diprosalic;
- Betaderm;
- Hydrocortisone;
- Zirtek;
- Acriderm ;
- Sovenhal and others.
Most of these ointments are hormonal and contain synthetic analogs of corticosteroids. Their use has a similar effect, but requires careful consideration of contraindications. It is not recommended to use Lorinden and its analogues to people with kidney diseases suffering from infectious skin diseases, pregnant women and some other categories of persons.
