Queen Elizabeth II is heartbroken because of the death of her beloved dog Willow

The other day it became known that the ruling queen of the United Kingdom lost her faithful friend and companion of the 15-lane dog of the Corgi breed named Willow. Unfortunately, this is the last corgi of the queen, the representative of the glorious dynasty of noble dogs, who live at the court. His ancestor was a dog named Suzan, which was presented to the young Elizabeth on her 18th birthday.

According to The Telegraph, Willow was ill with cancer, and her mistress decided to save the animal from suffering, putting it to sleep. We can assume that Queen Elizabeth II is especially upset because of the loss of her pet, because it was a dog that reminded the monarch of her parents and early youth. Willow was the link between the 91-year-old queen and her late parents. For the whole life Elizabeth II had 30 dogs belonging to the Corgi breed. Willow was a representative of the 14th generation of "royal" pets.

A reliable companion

Recall that Willow can be seen on the grand portrait of Her Majesty, written for the 90th anniversary of the Queen. Willowy and Holly made the company to their hostess in a promo spot dedicated to the Olympic Games in London, in 2012, along with Daniel Craig.
