Screen for room

This element of the interior, like a screen, was invented a long time ago, but today it is widely used in everyday life. The screen for the room can perform several functions at once. Firstly, it is the zoning of the premises, which is especially important for one-room apartments . Secondly, it is a protective function, which is performed, for example, a glass screen in the bathroom. And thirdly, this is actually a decorative function, because any screen is a sufficiently large detail, not to pay attention to which is simply impossible. Using the screen correctly, you can so beat the most ordinary room, that it will look both refined and exquisite, and home-like cozy.

In addition to designation, there are different screens and constructions. Let's look at their varieties.

Types of screens for dividing the room

There are three types of such partitions:

1. The screen with doors is a classic variant of the decorative partition for the room. This design is a few flaps, fixed on a rigid frame by the principle of "accordion". Folding screens are suitable for installation in any room, decorated in the style of Provence, classic, modern, baroque, etc. The choice of the design of the screens is so wide that it allows you to choose the most suitable kind of mobile partition, which is a screen, to your interior. At the same time, the number of wings is practically unlimited: you can take it as a two-folded screen to fence a secluded space, say, for reading or a dressing area near the cabinet, and a model consisting of ten or more wings. This screen can be separated a large part of the room, in fact turning it into two different rooms. Such a folding screen is a good option for zoning children's rooms for children of different sexes.
2. One-screen screen is, in fact, the same design, but with only one leaf. The latter can be fixed on two wide legs or on a bracketed support. Interesting models for a small room are a screen on wheels, round and oval dividers, as well as creative screen-hangers for the hallway.
3. Flexible screens for the room appeared last and have already won a worthy niche in the market of room partitions. Such a construction is a single wall consisting of a plurality of rigid tubes (slats) connected by means of flexible materials. As a result, we get a screen that can be bent as you please. It is convenient for zoning of non-standard layout rooms. What is characteristic, the length of a flexible screen you can choose yourself. When you need a short partition, just do not unfold the canvas completely, but if you need a sufficiently long screen, stretch it all the way up. Flexible screens are very mobile, because they are usually made of plastic, and in folded form they occupy very little space.

In addition to the design, the screens are different depending on the material from which:

• made of wood (can be decorated with carvings, panels or other decor). A wooden screen for the room will look good in a classic interior;
• glass - are installed most often in a bath, can be made of transparent or opaque glass with or without a picture;
• metal - ideally approach to such styles as hi-tech, modern, minimalism;
• Plastic (especially popular as partitions for "open" offices, but often used for housing);
• textile (look very "warm" and cozy, are made of a variety of types of fabrics);
• Paper (a rare and relatively inexpensive form of screen).
