Aglaonema red - problems with roots

Aglaonema is a very beautiful house plant with bright oblong leaves. His name came from two words - "brilliance" and "stamen". The birthplace of the flower is in Southeast Asia. In the natural environment, it grows in the lower tier of moist forests, on the banks of rivers and streams. Aglaonema red is just one of many species of plants.

Aglaonema red - home care

Since the plant is a native of the humid tropics, it is necessary to create similar conditions when growing its house - high humidity, always wet earth, but without excessive overmoistening.

Sprinkle with aglaonema should be as the earth dries up in the pot. And in summer watering should be more abundant than in winter. For watering, you need constant soft water at room temperature.

In addition to watering, the flower should be regularly sprayed from the spray gun. In the summer, you can take a pot of Aglaonema to fresh air, but not in the open sun, but in the penumbra.

Because of what the Aglaonema rooted roots?

If the care of the red igloonema is wrong, it may have problems with the roots. Because they are thick and fleshy, then with excess moisture (excessive watering), they can crack and rot.

You should understand that if Aglaones rotted roots, they will be restored very, very long. A loss of roots will cause a deterioration in the general condition of the plant: it has small leaves, they seem to have wilted.

As soon as you notice these signs, talking about soil silt and rotting roots, you need to take urgent measures. Resuscitation of a sick and weakened plant consists in an urgent transplant and re-rooting, if the rotting process has gone too far. It does not matter, Aglaonema Maria is, or red, or any other kind.

In case the roots are rotten irreversibly, you need to re-root the plant as during the propagation by its cuttings. The peculiarity of the aglaunema is that it is impossible to put the stalk in a container with water and wait for the appearance of roots - you will need a wick watering.
