Separate peeled pulp from the seeds and cut into large cubes. From the pears, remove the cores, and finely chop the remaining flesh. Put melons and pears in enameled dishes, pour sugar, pour in lemon juice, then cover the dishes with fruit and leave in the refrigerator for 12 hours.

Place the fruit mixture on high heat and cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Jam will be ready when it gets the desired consistency.
