The appearance of the long-awaited baby is a happy event for any family. However, along with him there are numerous concerns, including bureaucratic ones. In particular, newly-minted parents have to first issue a birth certificate , and then prepare a package of documents for registration of material assistance at the birth of a child.

1. The child should be officially given a name, patronymic and surname. You must go to the local registry office and order a baby's birth certificate. It is necessary to have at itself passports of the daddy and mum, the certificate on marriage if it exists, and the inquiry from a maternity hospital. In the event that the parents are not married, the presence of both is required, and if they are married and have a common surname, it is enough to only come to one of them.

Here, in the registry office you will receive a certificate for social assistance. With this paper it is necessary to apply to the social protection department of the population. This should be done there, where one of you is registered who will make out the allowance.

To issue a certificate is desirable within 30 days after delivery, otherwise, fines are possible, and secondly, delays in the preparation of cash benefits are inevitable.

2. One of the parents (most often a mother) has the right to receive several types of assistance from the state .

For Russia, this will be a childbirth allowance (one-time) and care for it (monthly), as well as maternity capital.

In Ukraine, mothers receive "children's", i.e. help at birth - this is a fixed amount of money provided at the birth of the baby to purchase all the necessary things for its maintenance. This amount is received in parts: firstly, parents are provided a one-time 25% of the total amount of assistance, and the remaining 75% are paid monthly until the child reaches the age of three.

It is important to know which documents useful for obtaining financial assistance at the birth of a child. It:

• a certificate of his birth;
• similar documents for older children, if you have them;
• parents' passports (both originals and copies);
• certificate of the composition of the family;
• a certificate from the employment center that you do not receive unemployment benefits or a work book;
• number of the personal account in the bank (photocopy of the savings account).

In short, the birth of a child involves some bureaucratic hassle, but the processing of the above documents will not become too problematic if done on time.
