The National Art Gallery Esjehi Art Gallery in Male is an ideal place for those who love art. Here you can get acquainted with the works of traditional and modern Maldivian artists. The building in which the gallery is located is one of the oldest on the island. It was built in the 1870s and belonged to a noble family.
What to see?
In the gallery there are two main halls:
- in the first one you can see traditional Maldivian works of art. Here it is worth paying attention to carving on wood, which is well preserved;
