Maimoun Palace


In the Indonesian city ​​of Medan is the royal palace Maimun (Istana Maimun). This is one of the most beautiful buildings in the country and the most famous architectural monument in the province of North Sumatra .

The building belongs to the Muslim Sultanate of Delhi, which was founded in 1630 and is located on the north-east of the island . Construction of the landmark began in 1887 and lasted 4 years. The main architect was a Dutchman named Theodore Van Erpa.
