In each apartment there are scratched or already unnecessary CDs. You can make a lot of interesting crafts from such discs, but especially often make a mirror disc for disco or as a Christmas decoration.
In this article, you will learn a few simple ways how to make a brilliant ball of discs with your own hands.
Master-class 1: a smooth mirror ball of disks
It will take:
- compact discs;
- large sharp scissors;
- glue gun;
- fishing line or rope;
- ball.
- We take the selected disks and cut them with the same squares of 2 cm x 2 cm. We will not use the non-shining middle. To make the discs cut without chipping at the edges, they should be lowered for 2-3 seconds in very hot water, for softening.
- We take the ball (the shape of a foam plastic or the papier-mache made in the technique is best suited). We make a hole through the whole ball and pass the line, for which then we hang it.
- We begin to glue the ball from the middle, placing the squares in straight rows, very close to each other.

Master class 2: a mirror ball of disks
It will take:
- compact discs;
- glue gun;
- wire;
- foam ball.
- Disks are divided into large enough pieces.
- By wire pierce the ball through and fix it, making a noose. At the second end of the wire we make a hook.
- We glue to the ball fragments of disks, so that the ends are directed in different directions.
The ball is ready.
Master class 3: a mirror ball of discs on the Christmas tree
It will take:
- Christmas tree glass ball:
- compact discs;
- scissors;
- glue gun;
- golden fabric.
- We cut the mirror part of the disk into small pieces of different sizes.
- We glue to the surface of the ball pieces of the disk so that there is space between them. For gluing one piece, we use only a drop of glue.
- To hide the traces of glue, inside the ball put a piece of golden fabric.
