Ball of discs with your own hands

In each apartment there are scratched or already unnecessary CDs. You can make a lot of interesting crafts from such discs, but especially often make a mirror disc for disco or as a Christmas decoration.

In this article, you will learn a few simple ways how to make a brilliant ball of discs with your own hands.

Master-class 1: a smooth mirror ball of disks

It will take:

  1. We take the selected disks and cut them with the same squares of 2 cm x 2 cm. We will not use the non-shining middle. To make the discs cut without chipping at the edges, they should be lowered for 2-3 seconds in very hot water, for softening.
  2. We take the ball (the shape of a foam plastic or the papier-mache made in the technique is best suited). We make a hole through the whole ball and pass the line, for which then we hang it.
  3. We begin to glue the ball from the middle, placing the squares in straight rows, very close to each other.

Master class 2: a mirror ball of disks

It will take:

  1. Disks are divided into large enough pieces.
  2. By wire pierce the ball through and fix it, making a noose. At the second end of the wire we make a hook.
  3. We glue to the ball fragments of disks, so that the ends are directed in different directions.

The ball is ready.

Master class 3: a mirror ball of discs on the Christmas tree

It will take:

  1. We cut the mirror part of the disk into small pieces of different sizes.
  2. We glue to the surface of the ball pieces of the disk so that there is space between them. For gluing one piece, we use only a drop of glue.
  3. To hide the traces of glue, inside the ball put a piece of golden fabric.

Our mirror ball on the Christmas tree is ready!

These balls look great in any transparent container or just in a vase.
