The celebrity was born on September 5, 1946 on the island of Zanzibar. Few people know, but the real name of the artist is Farrukh Balsara. The alias Freddie Mercury Farrukh officially took in 1970, but friends nicknamed him that name much earlier.
It is worth noting that the parents of Freddie Mercury were very wealthy. His father worked as an accountant in the British government.
