Bridge woman

History

The ideological inspirer and the main sponsor of the construction was the local businessman Alberto Gonzalez, who donated $ 6 million. The project was developed by an engineer from Spain - Santiago Calatrava. The main parts of the future bridge were made in the Spanish city of Vitoria. The Women Bridge in Argentina began to be built in 1998. The opening of the attraction took place on December 20, 2001.

The unusual name of the structure is defined by the area in which it is established, because most of the streets in Puerto Madero bear the names of the country's famous women.
