Butterfly Costume

If your child has a planned holiday or matinee, then you can not do without a carnival costume. It's nice to look at little cute snowflakes, princesses, fairies, bells and butterflies. Of course, you can go and choose a ready-made suit in the store, but it's much more economical and no worse than a suit that is sewn by your own hands. Moreover, there is nothing particularly difficult in making a butterfly suit, for example.

How to sew a butterfly costume?

The carnival costume of a butterfly consists of black pantyhose, shoes and skirts, a beautiful blouse, wings and antennae. In principle, can fit and any festive elegant dress. For the antennae, you will need a rigid wire covered with a black cloth, make from it two mustaches with balls at one end and attach them to the usual thin hoop. If your child is against all the accessories on his head, then just twist the two tails.

Do not forget that the costume for the child should be easy, comfortable, do not restrain movement, and at the same time, durable, so that the child does not damage it before the time during the pre-holiday fuss.

How to make wings for a butterfly costume?

If you decide to make a butterfly suit for yourself, then the most important thing you should pay attention to is the wings. They can be done in several ways.

For example, cut out two semicircles from the fabric, stretch them and paint them as desired with any patterns (use watercolors for this paints or aniline dyes). Such wings are best made from light monophonic silk (blue, pink, yellow). And when the paint is completely dry, then attach the fabric to the center and fasten it in the neck (on the blouse), and the other ends of the wings on the wrists.

Still it is possible to cut out wings from transparent rigid folders for papers. You can only decorate them with organza, decorate with sequins, rhinestones and down.

Also you can make wings in another way. To do this, draw a pattern of wings on the sheet of paper. On a pattern, cut two pairs of wings from a suitable fabric. Then take a rigid wire, attach to the pattern and bend so that the wire repeats the lines of the wings. Then settle one pair of wings, put a wire frame on top of it, and the second pair on top. Gently bend the edges and sew the wings together. Decorate, as you tell a fantasy.

Attach a little effort and the New Year's butterfly suit for your child will be the most original and beautiful.
