Interesting stories, unusual games and strong hands, ready to support at any time - these are all our beloved grandfathers. They are always happy and ready to help us in any undertaking. So I want to give them something that will always remind us of us and fill our hearts with warmth and love. Sometimes this requires a little - a cute souvenir or a good postcard, better done by yourself. In this master class I will tell you how to make a postcard for my grandfather with my own hands.
Scrapbooking-card for grandfather's birthday
Necessary tools and materials:
- colored cardboard;
- scrap paper, watercolor paper;
- pictures and inscriptions for decoration;
- brads, ribbon, decorative clothespins;
- watercolors, brush;
- stationery knife, scissors, ruler;
- double-sided adhesive tape, glue;
- sewing machine (optional).
Performance:
- The first step is to prepare the cardboard and paper - cut into parts of the right size.
- We glue and we will sew the paper to the base.
- We will paste decorative elements on a substrate and we will cut off superfluous. For the substrate, you can use paper or cardboard in different shades of the same color.
- Before we pierce the details, we will compose the composition.
- Then sequentially sew parts starting from the bottom layer.
- The inscription is glued and pierced only from the bottom - the upper part should not be fixed.
- We will sew the inscription along the bottom edge, and above it, with the help of the braads, we will fix the tape.
- Now we will prepare the details for the middle - after moistening the paper with water, we paint it with different shades of blue.
- You can add a bit of clarity by circling the edges with a colored pencil.
- It's good when a gift can save an important moment of life. That's why we will add a frame to the postcard - we will cut out the middle of the square, leaving edges 1 cm wide.
- Then we combine all the details, we sew and glue to the base.
- The last step is to apply a little glue to the clothespins and fix it on the ribbon, grabbing the edges of the inscription.
I think that such a postcard, which contains a favorite photo and warm words, will suit every grandfather.
