Just a few evenings of painstaking work, and you can make a plaid of pompoms with your own hands. The product can be made for a very small newborn baby in the form of a smart blanket for changing, for an older baby - a bright warm blanket, and you can make fluffy cloaks on chairs, ottomans or stools to decorate the interior of the room. If desired, you can make and large blankets blankets on a sofa or a sleeping bed, only in this case you need a large amount of yarn.
We offer the instruction how to make a plaid of pompoms of small size, approximately 100 per 100 cm. Masters advise to make a plaid of pompoms to choose acrylic yarn, since it is very light and soft.
You will need:
- frame with nails-self-tapping screws;
- a thick soft yarn of two colors (you can have more if you want to make a motley plaid) of the same color - 300 g and the other - 400 g;
- scissors.

- To make a blanket from a sheet of fiberboard, we make a frame, the size of which will correspond to the dimensions of the product. It is not recommended to make a frame of thin plywood, because it can "lead" in the process of work, and the symmetry of the fragments will be broken. At a distance of 4 -5 cm screw the screws.
- Selected yarn (white in our case) is fixed first in the vertical, beginning with the first carnation. Then, moving from the upper carnations to the lower ones, and from the lower ones to the upper ones, we fix the yarn, ending with the last nail. In the same way we fix yarn in the same way. It is desirable to make many layers - at least 50, because the density of the pompoms and the fluffiness of the rug depends on the number of layers and the quality of the yarn. If you take 50 threads, then at the intersection there will be already 100 layers. The middle should be marked with a different color of yarn: starting with 21 layers, the yarn of the second color is taken (we took the yellow yarn).
- When all 50 layers are both vertically and horizontally finished, we firmly bind yarn at the intersection points. Now cut the top 30 threads (so you had to take the threads of two colors, if you took a single-colored yarn, you will have to recalculate layers each time). It will be pompoms. The remaining layers of yarn that remain uncovered are the base of the rug. Remove the blanket from the frame. To do this, we cut the yarn between the nails, aligning the brushes.

A plaid of pom-poms is warm enough, but if in your apartment in the winter it's usually cool you can warm it up by planting it on a flannel base in a tone of yarn or a contrasting color.
