How to make a skull of paper?

Moved to us from the overseas, the Feast of All Saints or Halloween brought with it many new traditions, for example, decorating the house with all sorts of "horror": figures of bats, spiders and paper skulls. Today we will tell you how to make a skull in origami technique with your own hands.

Skull in origami technique

For the craft we need:

Let's get to work:

  1. We print out the scheme by which we will add our artwork.
  2. Put a square piece of paper on a solid, even surface. If the paper is only rectangular, we will first cut off the excess part.
  3. We will mark on our paper square diagonal lines, combining its opposite corners, bending the sheet and ironing the folds with a finger. After that, we will re-expand the sheet.
  4. Now from the square we need to fold the irregularly shaped diamond. For this, the left corner of the sheet is compatible with the previously planned diagonal.
  5. The same will be done with the right corner of the sheet. Do not forget to iron all the folds with your fingers to fix them.
  6. The upper corner of the sheet is bent inwards, so that its top is aligned with the two previously folded. Now our craft has this form
  7. The upper part of the paper skull is ready, now it remains to fold its lower part - the jaw and teeth. To do this, we add our artwork twice as much.
  8. We bend the lower part of the diamond in the opposite direction in such a way that a fold about 2 cm is formed.
  9. Now turn our work on the front side and fold the bottom part of the accordion. We do this slowly and do not forget to iron every bend, so that our work has a neat appearance.
  10. In the end we get here such a toothache.
  11. Although origami and does not involve the use of glue, but still podkleim all the folds of our accordion. Thanks to this, the jaw of our paper skull will look neat and the teeth will not stick out unintentionally.
  12. It's time for our shop to become cute. Black pencil or marker draw on it large eye sockets.
  13. With the same pencil or marker paint through one tooth. Our hand-crafted skull-origami paper is ready!
