More and more often, the Christmas tree is decorated with ornaments made by oneself. This is the toys themselves, and garlands, and snowflakes . Especially in the home look products made of felt, because they can be done even with young children, not having much sewing experience.
Among the fur-tree toys of felt are especially popular Christmas trees, small houses, colorful balls of angels and dwarfs. In this article we suggest that you familiarize yourself with how they can be done.
Master class №1: toys from felt on the Christmas tree
It will take:
- pieces of felt of different shades of the same color;
- sintepon;
- satin ribbon;
- colored thread and needle;
- button.
- From the red felt we cut out 2 circles, a diameter of 10 cm.
- We sew them together with a green thread with a seam "forward with a needle". We make stitches, having receded from the edge of 3-5 mm.
- When the end of the circle is 3 cm, fill the interior with a sintepon and continue sewing.
- When it remains to make the last 2 stitches, insert a ribbon between the layers of felt, folded in half, and sew them together.
- From the red felt we cut out a square with a side of 1.5 cm. Sew it with the front side of the toy. To its upper corner we sew a button.
- At the junction of the felt and the loops we sew a bow made of the same ribbon.
- By this algorithm, you can make a variety of New Year's toys of felt, using different patterns and colors of materials.
Master-class number 2: toy from felt on the Christmas tree "Angel"
It will take:
- felt;
- sequins;
- sewing accessories;
- patterns of details.
- We cut out the details of our New Year's toys from felt by the presented patterns:
- wings - white 3 pcs;
- trunk - 2 pieces of purple, 1 piece of blue;
- face - 3 pcs of beige;
- hair - 1 piece of yellow, brown and red;
- legs - 3 pieces of beige;
- hands - 1 piece of blue;
- 2 palms of beige.
Make 3 rectangles measuring 10 cm by 15 cm: 2 pieces of blue and 1 piece of purple. We prick to the blue-based purple make trunk and wings. We sew the body and wings with the seam "forward with a needle" along the edge. For each part, we select the threads in tone. When we sew the lower part of the trunk, we put a part of the foot under it to fix it. Sew a face, hair and legs in the same way. Embroider on your face with a black thread closed eyes and mouth. We make the second angel in the same way. Then we extend it with sequins and asterisks. On the purple workpiece, we make an angel with a blue torso and hands. We also cover every detail. On the face we embroider the open eyes, the mouth and the halo above the head. We trim the base on the contour of our angel, having receded from it 2-3 mm. Of the felt of the same color, we cut out the same detail. We sew the eyelet and sew the both parts with a suture seam. Our New Year's angels are ready.
