Surroundings of Drilon
Albania is famous for its national parks, but among the six available, the Drillon Park is without doubt one of the best. It is located on the shores of the legendary Lake Ohrid , which since 1980 has been protected by UNESCO and surrounded by mountain peaks. The deepest lake in Europe is teeming with the Ohrid trout, which it is allowed to catch. If fishing does not appeal to you, then visit one of the many restaurants to enjoy the favorite delicacies of Albanian national cuisine .
What to see in the park?
The main memorable places of the Drilon National Park are fresh underground springs, which have medicinal properties. On the territory of the park there is a small river, on which white swans settled, with pleasure accepting treats from visitors. In addition, in the National Park of Drilon remains a Christian basilica, built around the 5th century.

To get to the Drilon National Park, take the highway SH 64, which runs close to the Ohrid lake, from which you can easily reach the right place. You can rent a car and specify the coordinates of the destination.
