Erosive bulbitis - symptoms and treatment

Erosive bulbit - a disease in which there is an inflammatory change in the mucous membrane of a part of the duodenum, called an onion or bulb. This is the initial section of the upper part of the intestine, located at the place of transition of this organ into the stomach, where the ducts of the gallbladder and duodenum exit. The main functions of the bulb are to neutralize the acidity of the food coming from the stomach, the addition of bile, enzymes, mixing and ejecting the food coma into the following parts of the intestine.

If the digestive processes that occur under the influence of various factors fail, an excessively acidified, undigested food enters the bulb, which stagnates in this department. As a result, the mucous membrane is digested, which is first observed in the surface layers, and then - in deeper, with the formation of wounds, cracks, erosion.

Symptoms of erosive bulbitis

The manifestations of the disease, basically, are as follows:

• pain in the epigastric region, often occurring on an empty stomach, a couple of hours after a meal, at night, subsiding after eating;
• bitter taste in the mouth;
• heartburn;
• eructation ;
• constipation;
• nausea, vomiting with bile and blood, noted in 1-2 hours after eating.

If at this stage of inflammation, when these symptoms of erosive bulbitis do not pay attention to them and do not begin treatment, an ulcer can quickly develop.

Treatment of erosive bulbit

Complex treatment of the disease primarily involves strict adherence to a diet that provides for:

• Excluding products that are rasping for digestion and provoking increased acidity (spicy, fatty, roasted dishes, raw vegetables, coffee, strong tea, alcohol, etc.);
• fractional meals with soft, ground food;
• adherence to the meal schedule.

Drug treatment of erosive bulbitis may include the use of the following drugs:

• antibiotics;
• antacids;
• enzyme preparations;
• drugs that normalize the motility of the stomach and intestines;
• gastroprotectors;
• antispasmodics;
• sedatives.

Treatment of erosive bulbit with medicines can be supplemented with folk remedies, eliminating symptoms and fighting with the root causes of pathology. For example, St. John's Wort is effective.

Recipe for infusion

Ingredients:

• St. John's wort - 2 table. spoons;
• water - 200 ml.

Preparation and use

Prepare the infusion, fill the raw material with boiling water and leave for 60 minutes. Strain and take 50 ml three times a day before a meal.
