The fact that the famous Hollywood actor wants to visit Armenia to participate in the award ceremony of the winner of the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity was known a few months ago. However, due to George's tight schedule, his trip could not take place. Yesterday the representative of Clooney officially issued a statement and said that the actor will attend the ceremony, and accompany him on this journey will be the wife of Amal.
The Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity will be held for the first time
This award was established by renowned philanthropists Nubar Afeyan, Ruben Vardanyan and Carnegie Vartan Gregorian, who later became its head. Its goal is to identify and reward those courageous people who, at the risk of themselves, save lives for other people. The first solemn ceremony of this award will be held in the capital of Armenia on April 24, 2016.
Not so long ago, the names of 4 finalists became known, among which the money grand will be played. These include:

- Marguerite Barankits, founder of the shelter for children "House Shalom" and the hospital "REMA" in Burundi;

American actor George Clooney is on the selection committee together with Shirin Ebadi, Eli Wiesel, Oscar Arias, Leim Gbowi and many others.

The winner will receive several awards
