Haller Park

In Mombasa, there are plenty of great places where you can spend an unforgettable time with the whole family and replenish your memories with good moments. One of the beautiful, brightest attractions of this amazing city is Haller Park, which is located in the northern region of the city of Bamburi. In this huge reserve, your children, like yourself, can get to know and look at the life of exotic animals (fish and even insects). Undoubtedly, visiting Haller Park will charge you with a positive and good mood, so this Kenya landmark is on the "must-see" list of all tourists.

What is inside?

Haller Park was built in the post-war period by the great architect René Haller at the site of the former cement plant. The designer was interested in the fact that not a single tree can survive on such a large abandoned territory, you could call it a wasteland. Renee Haller has designed a magnificent park a year, considering every detail, and its result in our time more than justifies all expectations. Today, the Haller Park in Kenya is a magnificent nature reserve, which has long been a favorite destination for tourists and locals. On its territory, about 200 species of exotic plants, 180 representatives of the animal kingdom, 20 species of amphibians and fish are collected. Inside the park there are several small ponds in which crocodiles and vipers live in natural conditions.

In the park of Haller you can see a large number of species of monkeys, elephants, giraffes, bears, lions, etc. In addition, with some of the inhabitants of the reserve (turtles, squirrels, llamas), you can contact, take pictures and feed.

When planning an excursion to Haller Park, take care of the services of the guide. You need a guide, because dangerous insects (spiders, centipedes and beetles) also live here. You will need to take with you and a first aid kit, which must necessarily include antiseptic, analgesic and antipyretic agents.

Road to the reserve

Since Haller Park is located in the city of Mombasa, it is very easy to get to it. You can hire a taxi from anywhere in the city or use public transport and take the B8 motorway by bus to the park (exit at the same stop).
