In this case, morning feeding should be carried out at least 15 minutes after switching on the lighting , and the evening feeding - 2-3 hours before bedtime. The duration of each feeding should not exceed 3-5 minutes. This is more than enough for the fish to eat, but not overeat, and the food does not settle down to the bottom. In general, with fish, the rule is that it is better to eat less than overfeed.

The daily norm of feed is calculated approximately as 5% of the weight of the fish. If, after saturation, the food continues to float and settle to the bottom of the aquarium, it must be caught with a net to prevent its decay.

Once a week for fish, you can arrange a hungry day. Obesity of fish leads to their death more often than malnutrition. Therefore, one should never give fodder to fish beyond the norm. In addition, hunger has a positive effect on sexual activity and the restorative capacity of fish.
