How to build a tent?

The range of tourist tents today is simply huge - they are single and double, summer and winter, camping and beach. You may need a tent for a trip to a distant mountain camping or for trekking in the nearest forest, for fishing or for kebabs. Manage with modern tourist tents is much easier than with their old Soviet canvas counterparts. But if you decide to practice and collect a tent for the first time, you will not be prevented by this orientation manual.

How to build a tourist tent?

If you have already chosen a place of rest, then before you collect a tent, choose a place for it on a flat and firm ground. Otherwise, it runs the risk of being unstable, which is very inconvenient, especially if you have children. Also, there should be no electrical cables near the installation site - do not neglect this elementary safety rule.

For example, consider the most popular type of tent, which consists of a carcass and awning. They are called - frame tents.

  1. Take your tent out of the package and spread it on the ground. Ideally, you should first study the instructions that come with each new tent to ensure that all the necessary parts are in place.
  2. First you need to collect a tent frame. To do this, connect parts of arcs to each other following the instructions. It is very important to fold the frame correctly, because if it does not coincide with the canopy, you can not put the tent. The frame is usually metal (aluminum or steel) or, more often, plastic and is one of the following forms: a pyramid, a dome, a cone or a house.
  3. Now pull the tent (it is single-layered or two-layered, but it does not affect the assembling process). As a result of your efforts, the tent should be slightly taut.
  4. Stretch the tent in all directions and fix it on the ground with a hammer and pegs, which are always sold complete with a tent.

The basic instruction how to assemble a two-seater, camping or winter tent will not differ much from that described above. The difference is only in the scale of the work: keep in mind that it is more convenient to collect tents for people with high growth.

Fold the tents in the reverse order: first pull out the pegs, then gently remove the tent from the frame (perhaps, it will take some effort to do this). After that, you can boldly dismantle the frame and pack the tent in a backpack or in a special cover. It will be useful to take spare parts of the carcass with them to nature if they came in the kit, since parts, especially plastic ones, have the property of breaking at the most inopportune moment.

How quickly to build a children's tent?

Children's tents do not serve as much for outdoor recreation as for games. To collect such a tent can even be at home, having occupied children with a cheerful game of hide and seek. No less comfortable they are in nature: frolic in tents like absolutely all kids!

  1. Children's tents are usually packed in similar cases. They are very light and weigh very little, so taking a tent with you to nature is no problem. Building a children's tent depends on its design: there are models made in the form of a house, a car, a bus, various animals and even tunnels. There are also ordinary children's tents-tents.
  2. When you get the tent out of the cover, it will look like an absolutely flat construction.
  3. Unfold it, holding it by a flexible and resilient frame. If the tent is quadrangular, its inner corner should be pulled by itself, spreading the tent.
  4. As you can see, it was much easier to assemble a children's tent than a frame structure for adults.
