How to cook frozen royal prawns?

If you have purchased unpolluted pink shrimps, it means that they were already boiled before freezing, and therefore require less cooking time. If the frozen royal shrimp you bought is already cleaned, then most likely they were boiled before the frost and have a pink color. For cooking, first defrost them at room temperature, laying on a colander, installed on any container to collect liquid. In hot water, they should not be immersed immediately, since there is a high risk of loss of the taste qualities of the prepared dish. For the same reason, it is not recommended to use a microwave oven for defrosting.

Pour into the pan water in a volume twice the volume of shrimp, which must be boiled, heated to a boil, add salt at the rate of 30 grams of salt per liter of water and we immerse our already defrosted, peeled shrimp for one to two minutes, depending on the size of the shellfish. It is more convenient to do this in the same colander in which they are defrosted, so choose a pot for cooking of the appropriate size.

When cooking any shrimps, both peeled and in a shell, it is important not to overexpose them in boiling water, as after a long heat treatment they become rigid (rubber).

If you like the natural taste of shrimp, then add spices to the water when cooking is not worth it. Although, if necessary, and if desired, you can season the water with a bunch of dill, sweet pea or black pepper peas, laurel leaves, as well as a variety of spices and herbs.
