How to make a partition in the room with your own hands?

What can you make of such a partition in the room? For office premises partitions can be either transparent or deaf. Often such partitions are made low, not reaching the ceiling. If it is necessary to divide the office space into separate closed offices, then the blind partitions are mounted from the ceiling to the floor.   1. For work we need the following materials:
  • Using the laser level, we mark out the space of the future partition.
  • From an aluminum profile we cut scissors on metal directing on the sizes necessary to us. We fix them to the floor, and the distance to the line of marking should be 10 cm. For fixing the guides, we use a screwdriver, dowels and self-tapping screws.
  • In exactly the same way, we fix the guides to the ceiling and the wall.
  • Now we need to collect and consolidate our septum. To do this, we insert racking profiles into the guides.
  • Such racking profiles are installed after about 60 cm. If you need to make the partition more reliable, you can set vertical profiles every 40 cm.
  • Mount horizontal jumper on our frame.
  • The resulting skeleton of the future septum should be checked for strength. If necessary, the profiles should be additionally reinforced in places of connection with the floor, ceiling and wall.
  • It was the turn of the installation on the frame of plasterboard sheets. Departing from the edges of the profile for 2-3 cm, we screw the sheets with screws, slightly drowning them in the plasterboard. Places for fixing the glycl are located at a distance of 10-15 cm from each other.
  • Plasterboard sheets are mounted first on one side of the partition.
  • Then, if necessary, electrical wiring, sockets, switches, etc. are installed inside the future partition.
  • And only after that it is possible to proceed with the installation of the glycol on the other side of the septum.
