Spathiphyllum does not blossom - probable causes
The lack of flowering can say a lot:
- bad light;
- insufficient humidity or, conversely, excessive watering;
- a high content of nitrogen in the soil, which promotes active growth of foliage to the detriment of inflorescences;
- unbalanced composition of fertilizers;
- overly spacious pot;
- drafts that the flower does not like very much;
- disease (spathiphyllum can affect the scutellum, aphids, spider mite, etc.).
Making a spillifullum bloom is usually not difficult. To do this, you can use several methods.
The first, the most popular, is to artificially arrange for him a short period of rest. Cut the watering to a minimum by placing the flower pot in a cool place. After a couple of weeks, put it in its original place with sufficient lighting and properly fertilize the soil. After that, your pet, most likely, will please you with long-awaited bloom.
You should know what to feed spathiphyllum so that it bloomed. It should be mineral fertilizers (both phosphoric and potash), for example, a universal fertilizing for flowering plants. This fertilizer should be applied twice a month in the period March - September, and in winter - only once a month.
The second popular way to provoke the formation of inflorescences is the timely cutting of peduncles. Determine the need for this can be the color of the leaf, which gradually changes color from white to cream or greenish. If this happened, then it's time to cut this flower stem. If such a procedure is carried out regularly, then your spathiphlum will bloom with enviable constancy.
