The art of origami allows you to create from real paper real masterpieces. One of them can be a cactus made of paper modules in origami technique. This work is not difficult, but it will take a lot of time, because in order to make a modular origami in the form of a cactus, it will take about three hundred modules! Have you decided to try it? Then we suggest that you make a modular origami cactus yourself, guided by our master class.
We will need:
- paper green, yellow, pink and blue;
- glue.
- Step by step cactus making in the technique of modular origami, let's start with creating a large flower module. To do this, take a square sheet of pink paper (10x10 cm), bend it diagonally in half, then again in half, carefully marking the fold lines. Then bend the square in half, once again in half and bend one corner.
- The upper corners of the resulting rhombus bend to the center. Repeat this for each side of the rhombus. In the end, you should get a square with clear outgoing lines from the center. After this, proceed to the modeling of the flower, bending alternately the corners to the center, and then inside. Using a similar scheme, make 35 modules of green paper for our modular cactus-origami.
- When all modules are ready, proceed to assembly. To do this, grease the modules one at a time with glue on each side and connect them together. If the paper is thick, fix them with paper clips until the glue "grabs". To make cactus branches, fold three modules of different colors, inserting them into each other. Then paste the resulting flower into the composition.
- It's time to make thorns for our cactus. To do this, use a small square sheet and toothpick. After screwing the paper on the toothpick, grease the tip with glue and wait until it dries. Then remove the toothpick and insert the resulting needle between the cactus modules. Such needles need 10-12 pieces.
