A small state of Macedonia became famous all over the world thanks to its ski resorts. This is not surprising, because the territory of the republic is surrounded on almost all sides by mountains . The snow cover on the mountain slopes lies almost to the middle of May, therefore the ski resorts of Macedonia are considered the best if compared with the neighbors Bulgaria or Italy. Open ski resort Mavrovo from November to April. All the ski runs have snow cannons, so a beautiful snow cover lies here during the whole skiing period. Along the trails lights function, so that tourists and sportsmen can ride in the evening. The resort has 14 lifts: 3 chairlifts and 11 rope tows, which will allow you not only to climb to the top of the trails, but also to enjoy the picturesque landscapes of nature. Ski Resort Krushevo
The Krushevo ski resort in Macedonia is no less popular holiday destination than Mavrovo. It was located 160 km from Skopje, near the town of Bitola . The season of skiing in this place opens in November and lasts until April. People come here mainly to enjoy agrotourism and walks along the mountain slopes. There are few ski slopes on the territory of the resort, only three: for beginners and mid-level athletes. They are serviced by snow cannons and three chair lifts.

35 km from Skopje is one of the most popular ski resorts in Macedonia - Popova's cap. The ski runs run along the slopes of the Shar-Planina mountain, from its summit you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of small glacial lakes. The infrastructure of the resort is quite developed, so your holiday will be comfortable and calm.
The ski runs of Popov's ski resort in Macedonia reach a height of 1780 meters and from November to March are covered with snow. Of course, the ski runs are equipped with everything you need: marking, snow cannons and lights. There are paths for beginners and experienced athletes, and for fans of extreme resort Popova hat has its own chip - riding outside the tracks, it is allowed. You can find 14 ski runs:

In the resort there are six ski lifts that can take you to the very top of the mountain. In Popova's cap there are also tracks for snowboarders, which other ski resorts in Macedonia can not boast. In Popova Hat you can easily find a place where you can stay with the whole family. At the resort there are about six small hotels and private cottages. All of them are not far from the ski lifts.
