Muddy water in the aquarium

The aquarium is a home pond that delivers aesthetic pleasure to the owners. The water in it is alive - there are constantly complex biochemical processes. In the aquarium, the water becomes cloudy for various reasons. Getting rid of this process is often very difficult. To find out what to do, when the water in the aquarium became cloudy, you need to first analyze why this trouble happened.

The causes of the turbidity of water and how to get rid of it

The safest turbidity of the water comes from poor soil washing before laying in the aquarium. Then, due to careless pouring of water, its small particles rise and are in a suspended state. This clouding is not dangerous for aquarium inhabitants - it will pass itself within two or three days, when the particles will sink to the bottom. In this case, while nothing needs to be done, it is better to wash the new soil before putting it into the aquarium. Then periodically clean the soil with a special siphon.

More dangerous is the turbidity of water due to the appearance in it of numerous unicellular algae or putrefactive bacteria. In this case, the water becomes greenish or whitish in color. They are harmful to aquarium plants and fish. The reason for their appearance may be "overpopulation" of the aquarium or inappropriate feeding of the inhabitants.

Normal planting of fish - two or three pieces (up to 5 cm in length) for one to three liters of water. From dry food is better to refuse - the fish eat it badly and in the aquarium water from it quickly deteriorates. If this kind of food is still used - do not overfeed the inhabitants and make sure that it is eaten up completely in 15-20 minutes.

From the turbid water in the aquarium, which appeared due to the rapid growth of bacteria, it is necessary as soon as possible to get rid of. To begin with, it is recommended to clean the soil with a siphon . After that the filter is removed, cleaned, and put in it activated charcoal, it will absorb all the harmful substances from the water.

Do not completely change all the water - just replace a quarter of the water (it should be at room temperature). Fish do not feed one or two days - they will still feed on algae. Carry out intensive aeration in the aquarium.

In the future, for prevention, water can be changed once a week, but not more than one third of the aquarium, and it is necessary to strengthen the cleaning of the house water more powerful filter.

The turbidity of the water in the aquarium is a natural process, but it needs to be monitored. A properly equipped aquarium can stand for years without changing the water. It will eventually establish a biological equilibrium. It is necessary to follow the recommendations and then the aquarium will be clean, and its inhabitants - healthy and satisfied.
