What is a cyst?
The ovarian cyst itself is nothing more than a bag of ovarian tissue that is filled with fluid. In most cases, he does not bother the woman in any way, so it is found mainly during the next preventive examination.
What types of cysts exist?
It is generally accepted to distinguish several varieties of this pathology. Among them:
- the follicular cyst ;
- yellow body;
- paraovarian;
- dermoid ;
- endometrioid.
Among the listed species, follicular and cysts of the yellow body (they are also called functional ones) are most common. So, the cyst of the yellow body is formed when, after the last ovulation, the follicle begins to fill with liquid. As a result, it sharply increases in size, which leads to a thickening of its walls. In most cases, such an ovarian cyst occurs in women without symptoms, i. E. there are no obvious signs. Moreover, in some cases, reverse development may occur, which lasts 2-3 months.
The follicular cyst is typical for girls during puberty. The cause of its formation is the accumulation of fluid in the immature follicle. In size, it is small and very rarely exceeds 8 cm.
How to determine the cyst by yourself?
Most women do not even know what symptoms can be observed with an ovarian cyst. That is why, quite often the pathology is detected late and requires surgical intervention.
Of the most obvious signs can be identified:
- frequent pulling pains in the lower abdomen;
- a constant false sense of fullness of the bladder;
- cutting pains;
- violation of the menstrual cycle;
- increased body temperature (with a rupture of the cyst);
- tachycardia;
- tension of the anterior abdominal wall.
If you have these symptoms, a woman should consult a doctor for help. For the diagnosis is usually used such methods of instrumental diagnosis as ultrasound, as well as puncture through the posterior vaginal fornix (in the presence of complications).
How to treat an ovarian cyst?
Treatment of such a pathology as the ovarian cyst can be performed using:
- national methods;
- antibiotics;
- hormonal preparations.
The choice of this or that method depends entirely on the type and size of the cyst. Thus, functional cysts of the ovary are subjected to drug treatment. In this case, hormonal drugs are used. In the absence of a positive effect in 2-3 months, resort to surgical intervention.
However, many women are afraid of surgical interventions, therefore resort to folk methods of treatment of ovarian cysts. An example is the following recipe.
Thus, in the treatment of ovarian cysts begin with the application of conservative methods. In case the result is absent 2-3 months - resort to an operative intervention.
