Packing of doy packs

Appearing more than five decades ago (in 1963) in France, convenient and safe packing of doy packs at first did not appeal to the captious European consumer. The company "Thimonnier", which developed the doy pack, did not even renew the patent for it. But over time, being perfected by Japanese manufacturers, this kind of packaging acquired a second birth and successfully spread around the globe. And although doi-pack came to our market relatively recently, it was appreciated almost immediately by both consumers and manufacturers of various products. More details about the features of the doy-pack packaging you can learn from our article.

What is doy-pack?

A doi-pack is called a flat package with a fold at the bottom. At the moment when the package is filled with content, the fold opens and forms a hard bottom. Thanks to this, a stable package is obtained. Special rigidity of the construction is given by welded seams, number from three to five. Initially, the do-packs were made from plastic, but over time, many types of this package appeared: from kraft paper (so-called kraft-doy-packs), from foil materials and combined layers. For the convenience of the consumer, doi-pack packaging can be equipped with fittings, stoppers, inspection windows and reusable fasteners.

What is the secret of the popularity of doi-pack?

The production technology allows producing similar packaging of all possible shapes and sizes. Thanks to this method, almost all food and non-food products can be packaged in a do-pack: baby and sports nutrition, teas and coffee , liquid soap and detergents, cosmetics, animal feeds and even machine oil. The goods in the doy pack look bright and interesting, do not take up much space and do not require special conditions for transportation.
