Communion and confession are two church ordinances through which every Christian passes. Communion includes fasting , prayer and repentance. And confession is itself, in fact, repentance.
Both of these mean, above all, not that you are forgiven of sins, but that you forgive them for those who have done you harm. God will forgive us only if we forgive our enemies.

Confession
There is no special prescription about which prayers should be read before confession, and which do not.
