  3. Plant it with a "beak" down. The depth of planting should not exceed 7 cm, and the distance between the nodules is 15 cm.
  4. If there is a threat of frosts, then landing should be covered, as already on the tenth day after disembarkation you will see the first shoots.
  5. For the seed method of reproduction, the first flowers are left. Seeds of Ranunculus are planted in boxes between the end of February and the beginning of March. Boxes fill a bit of wet and loose soil. Before landing the Ranunculus, the ground can be previously steamed.
  6. Crops are slightly sprinkled with earth. Watering is carried out only with the help of a spray with water. After that, the boxes are covered with glass and placed on a light cool window sill. Every day it is necessary to wipe the glass and ventilate the crops.
  7. The first shoots will appear in one and a half to two weeks. When they are strong, you can safely remove the glass and put the flower in a well-lit place. Very good effect on the shoots additional illumination. To ensure that they are not too stretched, the temperature should be within 20 ° C.
  8. In early May, you will get 10 cm sprouts that can be planted in a greenhouse. Planting sprouts are done at a distance of 10-15 cm from each other. Ideal conditions are the absence of strong sun or excessive shading, frost or overheating. During the season young seedlings form full nodules.

Planting and caring for Ranunculus: tips for gardeners

Plant plants can be in the penumbra, but avoid damp places. Cultivation in the penumbra has its advantages: thus it is possible to achieve long-term preservation of color and duration of flowering.

Planting and caring for the Ranunculus involves the use of fertilizers. At the stage of planting, add composting to the soil. But for forcing out it's better to use mineral fertilizers. Good, if the feeding contains a lot of potassium (40-50 g per square meter of land). In summer, before flowering, feed well the buttercup with a solution of Mullein.

As for watering, the absolute majority of the representatives of this plant prefer moist soil. Periodic watering, prevention of soil drying and excessive moistening are ideal conditions for planting and caring for Ranunculus. Remember that too much watering can provoke the covering of the roots with mold and decay.

After flowering, the foliage dies and it is time to excavate the tubers. They are laid for the winter in a dry and frost-protected place. During flowering, permanently remove faded flowers, this will prolong the colorful period in your garden.
