Siphon for soda

Despite the fact that the media are trumpeting about the dangers of soda water , the number of its fans is not decreasing. Some even like a sparkling drink so much that they decide to make it with their own hands. It's not as difficult as it seems - a siphon for soda to help.

How does a simple siphon for soda water work?

A typical siphon is a container of steel or glass, into which ordinary water is poured through a special hole. It should occupy about two-thirds of the volume. After the vessel is closed, carbon dioxide is supplied through the valve. It is he who fills the remaining space in the siphon and thereby creates pressure on the water. If you press the siphon lever, carbonated water will flow out of the outlet valve, which pushes out the gas under pressure.

By the way, on the same principle, a universal option is designed - a siphon-creamer for soda. It is used to make not only a delicious drink, but also whipped cream, sauces and even mousses.

Of course, the simple construction of the device makes it easy and safe to use by any person. As a rule, a siphon for making domestic soda does not take up much space, since it is designed for 1 liter. However, at the same time, this is a drawback, because a whole family of one liter of a drink can be small. In addition, the need to constantly buy new cylinders is also difficult to call a "plus".

Water siphon with adjustable gas supply

Increasingly popular are the devices, which consist of a plastic casing, where a cylinder with compressed carbon dioxide is fixed. A plastic bottle is screwed into the outlet valve, not completely filled with water. When the button is pressed into the bottle, gas is supplied, carbonated water is produced. The main advantage of this siphon is the possibility of "charging" up to 60 liters of water. True, this affects the price of the cylinder. In addition, when the bottle is opened, a gas loss occurs.
