In Bulgaria you can come not only in the summer to sunbathe on the sandy beaches , but also in winter, to ski on the Pirin Mountains. One of the last discoveries is the ski resort of Bansko.
How to get to the resort of Bansko in Bulgaria?
Bansko is located in the south-west of the country at an altitude of 936 m at the foot of the mountain ridge. The easiest way is to get there from Sofia (160 km). From other countries, you can fly there by plane or take the train, and then take a taxi, a bus or book a transfer to the resort.

The resort made 15 descents (red - 7pcs, blue - 6 pcs, black - 2 pcs) with a total length of more than 70 km. They are intended to a greater extent for skiers and professionals confidently skating. There is also a cross-country ski run (Banderishka Polyana). Basically, they are compacted by snowmobiles, but there are also natural (freeriding), on which it is possible to ride among trees along the slope of the mountain. The climb to the top is carried out with the help of 13 lifts, different types (rope tows, chairlifts, gondolas). But, despite this amount, queues are built around them on weekends and holidays.
There is no ski school here, but those wishing to learn can use the services of professional skating instructors. For the convenience of the guests, they speak different languages. Children are organized a separate area, the so-called kindergarten, where they can go skiing or on the carousel.
Accommodation in the resort of Bansko
In the resort zone of Bansko is the largest number of hotels in Bulgaria. This is due to the fact that this place is very popular both with the local population and with the inhabitants of neighboring countries. After all, this resort is relatively inexpensive (for the cost of skiing and accommodation). But not all hotels are located in close proximity to the ski lifts. From some of them to the place of recovery it will be necessary to get up to 5 km. Therefore, when choosing the location, this should be paid special attention.
